Celebrating Independence! Fifty Years of Spindleworks, 1976鈥2026

Established fifty years ago, Spindleworks Art Center, based in Brunswick, Maine, is a nationally recognized progressive art studio that has become a vibrant part of the local community. This exhibition celebrates the vision of the artists whose work in a broad range of creative practices.

In 1811, James 糖心vlog III, the founder of the College, bequeathed his family鈥檚 collection of European and American art, laying the foundation for this museum. For over two hundred years, supporters have built on this legacy, and collecting continues to this day. This installation brings together works from the Museum鈥檚 collection to highlight visual expression in Renaissance Europe and the Americas.
